THANK YOUR SKIN...

Seriously, how do you stop your skin from breaking out?

It seems that no matter what you do or what you apply on your skin, you just can’t put a stop to your acne. You get zits on your face, chest and even your back.

Frustrating, right?

Honestly, there’s no quick solution to acne. If you want to solve your skin issues, you have to nip the problem in its bud. For acne, it’s knowing what triggers your skin to break out. Once you know what causes your zits, you’ll be able to find a way to prevent it.

But, here’s the problem.

Knowing what causes your acne is not an easy job. You have to pay close attention to what you eat, wear and do every day to get a clearer idea of what your acne triggers are.

For example:

Experts say that our diet plays a huge role in how our skin behaves and they’re telling the truth. There are certain foods that can trigger or aggravate your acne. Foods that contain a high amount of sugar is one of them. They can cause your insulin level to increase and this can dramatically increase your skin’s oil production. Apart from that, dairy products are considered acne culprits, too. The hormones you can find in milk can react to your body’s own testosterone, sending your sebaceous glands into overdrive.

And you know what else?

The same products you use to care for your skin can contribute to breakouts as well. This can happen if you use the wrong formula or you pick a product with ingredients that are not compatible with your skin type. Even the clothes you wear and the makeup products you apply on your skin can trigger breakouts. Now, if you are wondering what other things can make you acne-prone, check out the infographic below.
